Pair of Minotti Suitcase Armchairs, Italy 1997
This pair of cubic Suitcase Armchairs in red suede leather was designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 1997 for Minotti, the well known manufacturer for aesthetic, timeless Italian Design. The chairs are minimal with a slightly different twist and interpretation, as his creator stated. Minotti wanted to realize a cubic armchair, focusing on the geometry of the structure and how it could allude to the silhouette of luggage. The Suitcase Armchair marked a turning point for the brand. This version still comes with the original four chrome feet (a reedition of the Suitcase Armchair was released in 2019 with chrome base), and original red cushions.
